Mālama i nā Honu
Our mission is to "protect Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles through education, public awareness and conservation, all in the Spirit of Aloha".
In 2007, under the authority of the Endangered Species Act, NOAA Fisheries began providing grant funds to our non-profit organization to support public outreach activities that promote respectful behavior around the Honu. Mālama i nā honu's presence on the beach has significantly helped reduce disturbance to basking turtles. We continue to have a great relationship with NOAA and they recently posted two articles; one of them that highlights the heartbeat of our organization.
Our Partnership
We have partnered with Mālama i nā Honu to help support their mission to protect nesting sea turtles and provide community outreach to Hawaiian beachgoers. We have added a donation to our limited edition Magnums including our 2022 Reserve Chardonnay, 2021 Mourvèdre, & our 2021 Leatherback Syrah. Each magnum comes with a $20 built in donation to the organization that we at Turtle match; meaning each bottle provides $40 to help save the sea turtles. We hope you will help us in supporting Mālama i nā Honu's mission to keep the turtles of Hawaii safe.

Programs
Honu Guardians
In this Program locals and turtle enthusiasts are on the frontlines of Turtle conservation. They record data on sea turtle behavior, set up nesting baracades, and advise beachgoers on turtle safety.
Education Experiences
Mālama i nā Honu provides turtle education to local schools and community groups. They also provide an immersive experience for off-island visitors and help spread awareness of turtle conservation and their importance to the Hawaiian people.
Basking Data
Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles are the only species of turtles known to bask in the sun. Recording this data helps scientists determine the success of conservation efforts.
