Accolades

My favorite Turtle since Raphael is a Cabernet Sauvignon-driven blend that aged four years in a blend of new and used French oaks. Now, it is eager to make friends. Turtle's black cherry and espresso aromas are spiced up by a sweet, salty note similar to Spanish peanuts. Black cherries join with anise and vanilla flavors to coat the palate. This is a full-bodied wine whose tannins are still flexing.  —   Michael Alberty, Wine Enthusiast

"David Hess, a product of Washington State University's Viticulture and enology program, scored a double gold medal for his young Turtle Winery with a hedonistic red Meritage style off Red Mountain."

- Eric Degerman (Great Northwest Wine)
